The Communist Workers Union of Colombia (Marxist-Leninist-Maoist) sends fraternal and revolutionary greetings to our comrades of the Communist Party of India (Maoist), to its Central Committee, to its cadres and militants, to the valiant fighters of the People’s Guerrilla Army of Liberation, and to the masses of workers, peasants and people in general organized under the influence of the Party, on the occasion of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Party.
Our organization recognizes their outstanding role as part of the vanguard of the International Communist Movement and the People’s War they are leading as a beacon of hope for the proletariat and the oppressed peoples of the world. For that reason and guided by our proletarian internationalist spirit, we have always sought to manifest our solidarity and support for the cause of the New Democratic revolution in India, especially as members of the International Committee in Support of the People’s War in India. We have tried to make known to the toiling masses of Colombia the revolutionary process that you are developing in India.
The foundation of your Party as a product of the unification between two great revolutionary communist organizations in India as the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) People’s War -led by Comrade Charu Mazumdar- and the Maoist Communist Center of India -led by Comrade Kanhai Chatterjee-, not only boosted to a new level the revolutionary struggle in India, but it is also an example of the importance of the unity of the communists for the process of Party building. The process of founding his Party is an example of the path that other communists in other countries and internationally must follow: to advance the unity of communists under the banners of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism through the two-line struggle.
In these 20 years your militancy and the members of the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army have managed to resist and respond to the military attacks and counter-insurgency campaigns undertaken by the old reactionary Indian State to put an end to the people’s war, such as the Sendra campaigns, the Green Hunt operation, the Samadhan-Prahar operation and recently the Kagaar operation. Even before the founding of the Party the two major organizations led by Comrades Charu Mazumdar and Kanhai Chatterjee respectively also faced anti-communist and anti-subversive campaigns such as Operation Steeplechase in the 1970s, and the repressive campaigns of the decades that followed.
It is a reason for happiness for the proletariat and the peoples of the world to see that, despite the adversities and attacks by the old reactionary Indian State, the Communist Party of India (Maoist) has managed to emerge triumphant from these campaigns, achieving 20 years of struggle for the revolution in India as part of the World Proletarian Revolution. And it is necessary to pay tribute to all the comrades who have been killed in these 20 years of struggle and who made it possible with their sacrifice that the Party remains alive despite so many adversities.
We join in the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of India (Maoist). We reiterate our internationalist commitment to you comrades of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) and we declare that we will continue supporting and informing the working class, the peasants and other popular sectors in Colombia of the people’s war that you are leading and of the lessons that your struggle leaves us for the communists of other countries. We also declare our intention to continue to strengthen even more the ties between both organizations based on mutual respect and our ideological unity in Marxism-Leninism-Maoism.
Long live the 20th anniversary of the Communist Party of India (Maoist)!
Down with the genocidal campaign Operation Kagaar!
Long Live the People’s War in India!
Long Live Proletarian Internationalism!
